Swiss Clinical Anatomy Network (SCAN)

In autumn 2000, the Swiss Network for Gross Anatomy (SNGA) was founded as a sub-section of the Swiss Society for Anatomy, Histology and Embryology. It includes the leading members of the six Swiss Anatomical Institutes who are in responsible for the organization of gross anatomy. In 2019, the SNGA was renamed to “Swiss Clinical Anatomy Network” (SCAN) in order to further emphasize the increasing importance of anatomy also in postgraduate clinical training.

The main purposes of the SCAN are:

  • organization of anatomical-surgical courses for ongoing or trained surgeons
  • promotion of new teaching modules (ICT, web-based training) for anatomy
  • integration of gross anatomy with clinical disciplines

Organized workshops by the SCAN

The SCAN will organize workshops for all members of the SGAHE / SSAHE who are interested in gross anatomy.
